As a veteran adult actress, I have done my fair share of foot-fetish films, but as the Internet has made itself the primary source for most of our media needs, I cannot help noticing how many other fetishes have sprung up. The Web allows everyone’s whim to be satisfied—and if you’re into it, whatever it is, chances are you can find someone doing it online.
Here are some that have made me giggle, or that I find a little stunning, along with some others that are outright puzzling.
1. Plushophilia
I was in Japan dressed head to toe in a light pink, polyester bodysuit, with hot pink fur cuffs that were supposed to represent a popular cartoon cat in that country. The outfit looked more like a poodle than a cat. This was my introduction to Plushophiles: people attracted to stuffed animals. It’s the only scene of my career in which I wasn’t nude: There was a slit in the cat/poodle suit for the action. But what mattered for the work was the costume, and the cat/poodle outfit was more important than the action.
2. Balloon Fetishists, aka Looners
There are two types of “looners.” Those who enjoy the balloon burst, known as “poppers,” and those who wince at the very thought—they, of course, get known as the “non-poppers.” For the poppers, there is a sexual tension in the blowing up of the balloon. The balloon popping is a metaphoric and literal sexual release. For the non-poppers, the turn-on is watching the balloon expand and expand. For enhanced adoration, all enjoy the soft squishy sound of the balloon-on-skin. Clips4Sale recently offered Lindsay Lohan $50,000 to do a balloon-fetish clip fully clothed. If she doesn’t get back to you, call me!
3. Rope Fetish
Yes, rope is sexy. There are those that enjoy doing the tying and those that enjoy being tied up with rope of all textures—silk, leather, hemp, or, most common, jute. The rope tier takes pleasure in using the human body and the rope to create an erotic, pliable work of art. Pleasure is given by restraining the bound one, to include appropriately placed knots that put satisfying pressure on certain points of the body.
Before working for a director, Lochai, known for his “rope work,” I’d previously only considered rope when thinking of tying a Christmas tree to the roof of my car, or something I might use to go hiking with. Bound by rope, an awareness crept upon me as each knot was tied, as my body was tightly bound and the wiggle room dwindled. As I was roped on a cold concrete floor, I noticed things I wouldn’t have before, like the smell of the rope, what I imagine burned sunlight to be, and the way my body was heating the floor. Funny how being nude and restrained amplifies your nerve endings. It seems the earliest known rope play was found in 17th-century drawings known as komon sarashi shibari, originating in Japan. Wrapping the body in ropes is considered a transfer of energy, it encourages the body to be in touch with its environment and aesthetics are important to the fetish. It definitely put my body in touch with its environment in ways I wouldn’t have imagined before.
4. Face Sitting
Yes, Virginia, there are those who desire a big juicy ass smothering their air intake. Like many fetishes, this can be dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing because fetishists make air intake part of the play. Indeed, for the record: You can be smothered to death by an ass. You can get equipment made specifically for this fetish. There is a low open seat for sale that fits over the face called the “queening stool.” Then there is the “smotherbox” which allows the person under the seat to be locked into place.
5. Trichophilia: Hair Fetish
Those that are sexually aroused by human hair are known as trichophiles. Sometimes they like watching haircuts. Another thrill comes from watching hair being washed. This is why Clips4sale offered Octomom $20,000 to wash her hair for them. Again, call me!
6. Knismolagnia
This is the technical name for sexual arousal or gratification from the act of tickling. This actually is regular flirtatious social foreplay in my world. But there are also those to whom this act becomes not a transition for sex, but the center of activity. Some want tickling done with feathers, whereas fingers do it for others. In fact, as with any fetish, the range of materials available for tickling inspires the creativity of those with the fetish. Restraints and blindfolds are often used to heighten the feeling of tickle torture and to introduce a feeling of submission. I have tested this out at home, but have yet to do it on camera. While I enjoy it, I do not crave it and I believe a fetish is something one craves.
7. Capnolagnia: Smoking Fetish
I hate the smell of cigarettes. But you can get paid making videos satisfying the erotic stimulation formed by some from watching someone smoke. They like watching lips wrap around the cigarette, the inhalation, and then the blowing of the smoke. I am told there is a sexual tension and buildup as the smoke is inhaled mimicking the sexual act of penetrating the body followed by the release as the smoke is exhaled, coils into the air and dissipates. Not too different from the balloons, in a way.
8. Podophilia: Foot Fetish
I was topless, sitting on a table barefoot stomping on bananas and yogurt. I was then directed to walk my dirty feet to leave food imprints. Even though everyone thinks they know about this one, the reality goes far beyond the stereotype of foot worshipers. There are all sorts of foot enthusiasts. Some enjoy a well-manicured foot, others have a liking for arches, or dirty soles, or footprints. Then there are those who want to watch toes wiggle in shoes, out of shoes, in the sand or, as I mentioned, in food. One thing I did not expect were the scenes I shot ending in a “foot-job.” Yes, my work requires surprising types of coordination.
There really is something for everyone out there.
